Marks Gray Attorney Jill F. Bechtold Named Chair of Girls, Inc. of Jacksonville

Marks Gray, P.A, is pleased to announce that on July 1, 2013, Of Counsel, Jill F. Bechtold was named Chair of the Board of Directors for Girl’s Inc. of Jacksonville, the local chapter of the Girl’s Inc. not-for-profit national organization. Ms. Bechtold was first named to the Board of Directors in 2011 and became the Board’s Chair of the Resource Committee in 2012. During her time as the Resource Committee Chair, Ms. Bechtold helped to create and launch the young professionals division of the Board, G.I.R.L.S. (Girls Inc. Rising Leaders Society). She also led the organization’s fundraisers and promoted partnerships with local community members, including the United Way and Jacksonville Children’s Commission. Ms. Bechtold joined Marks Gray in May 2013. She has a civil litigation practice focusing primarily in the areas of commercial litigation, business litigation, medical and professional liability defense, and professional licensing. Ms. Bechtold received her B.A., (2002) and her J.D. (2005) from the University of Florida. Ms. Bechtold is a licensed member of the Florida Bar. She began her legal career in Miami, Florida defending the cruise line industry in commercial litigation and maritime cases. Since moving to Jacksonville in 2006, Ms. Bechtold has been a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, Jacksonville Area Defense Counsel, St. John’s Chamber of Commerce and Florida Defense Lawyer Association. She has also been a participating member of the Jacksonville Area Legal Aid Referral Service and Jacksonville Bar Association Legal Referral Service.
