Giselle Carson joins Jacksonville University's Public Policy Institute Board of Directors



About Giselle Carson 


Giselle Carson is a shareholder with Marks Gray, P.A. practicing primarily in the area of immigration law representing employers and individuals. She is the President-Elect of the Jacksonville Bar Association. Ms. Carson served as General Counsel of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and is a member of its Board of Directors. She serves on the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Board and is a graduate of Leadership Florida and Leadership Jacksonville. She has received many distinguished recognitions including an AV® peer review rating from Martindale-Hubble, Jacksonville Lawyer of the Year (2013) and Top Rated Immigration attorney by ALM and Martindale-Hubbell. She received her bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from McGill University, Montreal, Canada and a J.D., with high honors, from Florida Coastal School of Law, Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Cuba and is fluent in Spanish and French. She is a marathoner and two time Ironman triathlon finisher. In 2015, she will have completed all Six World Marathon Majors. She is married to Jeff, a physical therapist, marathoner and triathlete.

Alison A. Hofheimer joins Marks Gray, P.A.

Marks Gray, P.A. is pleased to announce that Alison A. Hofheimer has joined the firm as an associate. Ms. Hofheimer joins the firm after receiving her Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in May, 2014. During law school, she was a 2014 Recipient of the Dean’s Cup Award, 2014 Recipient of the Seminole Student Leader Award and a Senior Member of the Law Review. Her article titled, “Saved by the Bell? Is Online, Off-Campus Student Speech Protected by the First Amendment?” was published in the Fall 2013 Florida State University Law Review. Ms. Hofheimer received her Bachelor of Science with honors, in Political Science also from Florida State University. In 2012, after graduation she spent the summer studying abroad at Oxford University in Oxford, United Kingdom. Prior to joining Marks Gray, Ms. Hofheimer was a law clerk with Jacksonville’s Law Firm of Pajcic & Pajcic. She also served as a law clerk with the Law Office of Matt Liebenhaut in Tallahassee, Florida.

Crystal T. Broughan receives 2014 Florida Leadership Award

JACKSONVILLE, FLA: October 21, 2014) Marks Gray, P.A. is pleased to announce that Attorney Crystal T. Broughan has been selected for the 2014 Florida Leadership Award by the US Institute for the Advancement of Trade & Commerce (USIATC).
